We are excited to share the success of the recent 2026 Botanical Bridges Congress hosted by the Jardín Botánico Nacional “Dr. Rafael M. Moscoso” in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic, from April 20-24, 2026. This year’s congress delved into diverse themes that encompassed the rich tapestry of botanical conservation and management:
- Plant Conservation
- Environmental Education: Capacity Building and Training
- Climate Change (Resilience, Mitigation, and Ecosystem Restoration)
- Living Collection Management (Plant Registration, Horticulture, Landscaping, Herbarium, Seed and Germplasm Bank)
- Botanical Garden Development (Master Planning, Financing, Administration, and Communication)
One exciting thing to come out of this congress: a new thematic network on inclusion and disability for botanical gardens!
