Botanic Garden Conservation International (BGCI) drives plant conservation – especially in gardens in areas of high biodiversity – by disbursing small grants every year through the Global Botanic Garden Fund. The fund is open to BGCI Member institutions and preference is given to botanic gardens in developing countries and biodiversity hotspots.
In August 2024, BGCI awarded 46 grants, worth $128,964 to 42 institutions, across 26 different countries.
