We are excited to welcome approximately 200 participants across the Caribbean, Central America and beyond to Santo Domingo.
To help ensure a smooth, engaging, and accessible experience for all participants, we kindly ask that presenters keep the following guidelines and suggestions in mind as presentations are prepared.
Please note: Final presentation submission deadline is Monday April 13, 2026 for oral presentations.
Oral Presentations
Presentation Length & Structure
- Total time: 15 minutes
- Recommended structure:
- 10 minutes presentation
- 5 minutes Q&A or transition
- Recommended slide count: 10-12 slides (approximately one slide per minute)
If you are presenting during a symposia, workshop, or panel timing will be dependent on your session lead. However, we recommend the following tips.
Slide Design & Readability
To ensure presentations are clear and accessible:
- Minimum font sizes:
- Titles: 36–44 pt
- Body text: 24–28 pt
- Captions/References: 20 pt minimum
- Please use simple, readable fonts such as Arial, Calibri, or Helvetica.
- Avoid text-heavy slides. Aim for concise bullet points (no more than 6–8 lines per slide).
- Use high-quality visuals and ensure strong contrast between text and background
- This helps ensure content is readable and accessible for participants with color vision deficiencies (colorblindness)
Bilingual Accessibility Requirement
As the Congress serves a multilingual regional audience, we kindly ask presenters to support accessibility by incorporating both English and Spanish within presentation slides.
You may do this by:
- Including bilingual slide titles, or
- Translating key bullet points, or
- Providing duplicate slides in each language
Presentations may be delivered in either English or Spanish; however, slides should include sufficient translated content to support audience understanding.
